Wager is operated by Wager LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application and related services.
We collect your phone number when you create an account. We use your phone number to verify your identity via one-time passcodes and to send you notifications related to your bets. We also collect information you provide when using the app, including bet details, display names, and profile photos. Profile photos you choose are stored on our servers so they can be shown to the friends you bet with.
If you record an optional video message when creating an oath in The Arena, that video is stored only on your device. Oath videos are never uploaded to our servers, and they are deleted when the oath is removed. If you grant camera, microphone, or contacts access, that access is used only on your device for the feature you invoked — your contacts are never uploaded or stored on our servers.
We use your phone number to send you SMS messages including verification codes and bet notifications. If you enable push notifications, we send bet-related notifications to your device. We use your bet activity data to provide our service, display your bet history, and calculate your in-app statistics. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We collect usage analytics — such as which features are used and how often — to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Analytics data is associated with your account's internal numeric identifier, not your phone number. We use PostHog to process this data on our behalf. We do not use analytics data for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
By creating an account with your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages from Wager. These messages include one-time verification codes for login and notifications about bets you are involved in. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by deleting your account.
We share limited data with service providers solely to operate Wager: Twilio (your phone number, for SMS delivery), Expo (a device push token, for push notification delivery), PostHog (usage analytics, as described above), and Railway (hosting for our backend services and database). When you create a bet, its title may be sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to generate a short animation for the bet's response page; bet titles sent for this purpose are not accompanied by your phone number or name. We do not share your personal information with any other third parties, and we do not sell your personal information.
We retain your account information and bet history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at support@wagerapp.app.
Wager is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

Wager is operated by Wager LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. By downloading or using Wager, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, which form an agreement between you and Wager LLC. Please read them carefully.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Wager. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
Wager is a social bet tracking application that allows friends to create, track, and settle friendly bets with each other, including group pools, no-stakes pledges, and personal goal commitments ("oaths"). Wager does not facilitate gambling for money through our platform. All bets are informal agreements between consenting adults. Wager does not hold, transfer, or process any payments between users, takes no commission, and has no financial interest in the outcome of any bet.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to use Wager only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. You agree not to use Wager to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
By creating an account, you consent to receive SMS messages from Wager including verification codes and bet notifications. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Wager is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any disputes between users arising from bets made through the app. All bets are informal agreements between users and Wager has no role in their enforcement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wager shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
